Aswan National Folklore Band

It has toured many countries of the world since its establishment in October 1974 at the Aswan Culture Palace. It is the Aswan Folklore Troupe, which has been accredited as a troupe representing Egypt in international competitions. It performs 12 dances inspired by the Nubian environment, and consists of 50 dancers and musicians.

The troupe was trained by Amin Abdel Rahman, then Yassin Bahr, then Shaaban Muhammad Hussein, Medhat Muharram Suleiman, choreographer Dr. Samir Jaber, and Sami Zaghloul.

The band won many awards, including first place at the Festival de Gaulle in France 1982, first place at the Kardesal Festival in Greece 1995, and first place at the Zakopane Festival in Poland 1996.

The band participated in many festivals in various countries of the world, including the Tourism and Shopping Festival in Sudan in 2012, a cultural week in Uganda in 2013, a cultural week in Cameroon in the same year, a cultural week in Mauritius in 2014, cultural and cultural. Traditional nights in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates in 2015, and the Berlin Stock Exchange in Germany. in 2016, Riyadh Al-Janadriyah in Saudi Arabia in 2017, Independence Day in Eritrea in 2018, Cardesa Festival in Greece in 2018, and the Secondary Cultural Festival at the Institute of Technology in India in 2018.
